These are just wonderful. The colors are so vibrant!

My only jive is with the scout... I've yet to see one who doesn't "stare".
I don't really blame you though. It's just a bad modeled head.

Awesome job. Nice to see so many forum veterans are still painting up their minis.

Now that I've seen the sister of light painted a few times, I really think she kinda looks like the girl from Chrono Crusade. Maybe I'll do mine up like that. Though it's also tempting to do a black/white nun. I really like your Vandella btw.

Have to agree with "garbled" regarding Vandella. Absolutely one of the best I've seen so far!
Good work all around

I had some spare time today so I took the time to take pictures of some of the SDE figures that I have finished recently.

Captain R and the Herald of Vulcanis
Image Image

Death Spectre
Image

Von Drakk and Nocturne
Image Image
I have Nocturne on the extra bases so that he does not scrape the table. Unfortunately for me he keeps on bending down due to his own weight. I think I am going to have to cut him off at the feet and put some brass rod in his legs. If anyone else has found a solution to this issue with him please let me know. (I have since put the brass rod into his legs and it helps a lot)

Nyan Nyan and Pumpkin Patch
Image Image
It took me ages to decide on the colour of Nyan Nyan's cat suit.

Rock Pile and Shallow Graves
Image Image
I have painted all four of the Rock Piles the same. I will be changing the green on two of them to something else though to better identify paired spawns.
The Shallow Graves I have two with Turquoise stones and Two with he burgundy to represent different spawning pairs.

Three years on (8 years now and still holding true) and I still find the SDE figures to be some of the most enjoyable that I have painted. I have a very long painting log, as most of us do, when ever I can not decide on something to paint I always go straight for an SDE miniature.

Thanks for looking. C&C are always welcome

Dude, these are amazing. I love what you've done with the eyes!

The micron trick is pretty great. I've used it a few times myself, but I never thought to use it in the ways you have. Clever stuff.

Your stuff looks gorgeous! A suggestion for Celestial Herald: paint her lips. Not give her lipstick, but give her lips some color definition.

Thanks for the kind comments everyone. I am pleased you all enjoy my painting.
Mydnight, The heralds lips are something that I have attempted a few times and not been happy with. I think that I may have been trying to make them too bold.

***THIS IS WRONG*** I like to use Carrion from Vallejo's Game Color line, as it's a nice mixture of pink and red without drawing a lot of attention.***THIS IS WRONG***

Yea, I was wrong on the color. It's Vallejo Game Color 72066, Tan. I got the Carrion name as a sort of portmanteu from it's Spanish name, "Carne Marron."
