Not sure if it's the same for anyone else, but the original link in the first page doesn't work quite right.

http://damommasboyz.com/sodapop/downloa ... ok_web.pdf - works fine though

Yay!

Next question, will there be a more printer-friendly version coming?

Now that its posted. With the vulnerable status effect on a characters special ability line; by how that status effe t is worded now, its gone back to normal and is a permanant status effect the model has.

Hi Cat, I wanted a copy of the tidied up rules that wouldn't kill my printer so took the pdf and stripped out the background graphics and did a few other bits of tidying (making Crystalia less ink heavy etc). You can grab it here if you want, it prints quite nicely scaled down to A4 landscape (leaves nice wide margins for useful notes I find). There are other print ready versions over on BGG, but most of those I think are re-types of the rules.

So if you bought a core box set recently, would it have these new rules in it. Or will have the 1.0 rules? If the 1.5 rules are in the box sets, how can you tell if you got the 1.5 rules or the 1.0 rules?

Assuming the 1.5 rules match the published PDF then at the bottom of page 4 you'll see the version number of the rules. I don't know if that's the version being shipped at present, but I gather SDE has just been recently reprinted judging by suppliers getting stock back in.

Otherwise I guess the easiest way to identify the version is to see if any of the errata/corrections are present from the various errata versions issued.

I noticed on the 3rd page of the errata.

DUNGEON SIEGE (2 - 3 Hours)
2 - 5 Players (Consul plus 1 to 5 Hero players)
Place five dungeon tiles.
Choose any five Heroes.
Consul may choose any five spawning points, two Mini-Bosses, and one Boss.
The game ends when the Boss or all Heroes have been destroyed.

Should be 6 players if I'm not mistaken.

Th errata are no longer needed as the 1.5 rule book contains all the changes/correction of the errata and it is correct in the rulebook.

I recommend downloading it, it's in the first post.

I assumed that the fact that the errata was still there that it was still an ongoing work in progress.

The errata is no longer in the first post, just the new rule book.

Where did you find the errata ?

Should be "called" not "call".

I personally think this paragraph and the following one would have made more sense in the Overcharge section rather than the Super.

"Overcharge
In a Dungeon Siege once the power marker reaches Super flip the
power marker so the red “Consul” side is up and move it back to
the gold start position. This is called Overcharge and the power
gauge must be advanced through a second time.

After the power marker has been moved, the Consul immediately
draws one loot card for every Hero still in play, chooses one of
them, and shuffles the remainder into the deck. For the rest of the
game all monsters (including Mini-Bosses) except the dungeon
boss gain the effect of the chosen loot card.

During Overcharge 8-Bit, 16-Bit, and Overcharge monsters may
be spawned. The consul may continue to summon Mini-Bosses
and have up to two in play at at time.

Passing 8-Bit and 16-Bit on the power gauge during Overcharge
has no effect. Once Super has been reached during Overcharge
the Boss Fight begins at the start of the next round. Refer to the
Boss Fight rules on pg 28."

Just my opinion on what would make understanding the rules smoother.

PS: I miss getting the loot cards at 16-bit :P

Yup, that should definitely be removed.

So I guess you've seen there's a new FAQ (1,6) out.
http://sodapopminiatures.com/media/downloads/super-dungeon-explore-faq-1_6.pdf

Notable change:
Q: Can dead characters equip items?
A: No. (Note that this is a change from previous FAQ rulings.)

 Did people really not get the "bodybag" joke?

Sarcasm doesn't translate well in writing. So an official confirmation was needed.

Hmm, unless I overlooked something, the 1.5 rules and 1.6 FAQ still do not actually specify anywhere that Timeout Effects only happen once per game, and that they do not occur at all if the Boss has been reduced below 0 life. (At least I think that's what randomly scattered prior answers have been....)
