Hey guys, it’s been a long time since I’ve posted… For those of you following my Youtube channel, you’ll know that I made an announcement regarding a traumatic event that occurred in my life which I have been dealing with since last year. I’m still having difficulties but I am getting better and I’ve been able to pick up the paintbrush again recently.

Firstly I've finished the Kitsune from the Ninja All Stars crossover.
Madoushi painted by Aella13

Kunoichi painted by Aella13

And I've quickly finished the Dragonback Peak creeps.

The Hubby has also been very busy. He's finished off the Tribal Stone spawning point:

Mistmourn Chieftain by the Hubby
Image

Ghostfire Warriors by the Hubby
Image

Spirit Walkers by the Hubby. These guys had an extra finger on their axe hand. The inconsistency annoyed me so I converted the finger off.
Image

This means our Mistmourn Coast Warband is complete:
Image

The Hubby has also finished a few heroes:
Hidden Shrine Infiltrator painted by the Hubby
Image

Kunoichi Candy painted by the Hubby
Image

Twilight Knight painted by the Hubby. It's his first attempt at non-metallic metal and he's very proud of her. He thinks she's his best mini ever.
Image

That's all for now. I'll post again soon!

I've finally finished Glimmerwing! Because she's a faerie dragon I wanted to incorporate as many colours as possible. I gave her colourshift wings to match her namesake.

As always I am wowed by your work. The coloration on Glimmerwing's horns and crown gem almost look like an OSL, like the gem is glowing.

Fantastic!

I tried your eye technique and it really helped, thank you!

Thanks Salaura! And I'm glad the eye technique worked out for you!

The Hubby just finished the piggies:

Which means our Emerald Valley Warband is complete!

My group exclusively plays with painted models so we've been looking forward to having a game with Glimmerwing for a while now. This is my first attempt at writing up a battle report for Arcade mode here.

The Hubby has finished more turtles:

Bombardiers by the Hubby

Rollers by the Hubby
Image

and I went back and repainted the Dark Kitsune. I was unhappy with her skin and hair highlighting so I brightened up her skin, darkened her hair to a more subtle wine-coloured purple and I also added more eyelashes, eyebrows and the red facepaint that appears in her artwork.
Image

I'm much happier with this result.
Image

We're using the Dark Kitsune as the Hidden Shrine Master
Image

and Tamamo no Mae as the Hidden Shrine Mystic respectively.
Image

Once I finally finish painting the Kitsune Oni we hope to have an all-ninja game at some point

Burning Gels painted by Aella13. I might repaint the glow on their bases as I think it’s a bit too crude compared to my previous attempt with the Fire Gels.

House Cerberus Occultist painted by Aella13.

I managed to give the spell book an occult symbol and old bloodstains.

The hubby and I have been busy painting our entries for the Discord painting competition. Here's his entry:

Deeproot Scout painted by the Hubby.

Oops, I also forgot to post this one... he painted it a while ago!

Testudo Tower painted by the Hubby.
Image

And here's my competition entry: Gothic Bunny!

Arena Champion painted by Aella13. The torn fishnet stocking was especially tricky...

Wow, amazing! for the splatter effect...did you splatter and then clean-up or actually hand paint the splatter?

Thanks! I splattered using a toothbrush (covering the areas I don't want messed up, like the eyes) and then added the blood streaks after. I made an earlier video showing exactly how I do it:

I just finished the Celestial Herald as a gift for William Neill (aka Holy Cross) as thanks for all the effort he's been putting into this community lately.
Image

She has a slight iridescent effect on her wingtips which doesn't show up in the photos but you can see it a little in the video.
Image

I think she looks better than my own Herald now!

Looking good as always.
What did you use for the iridescent effect on the wings and what are you using for your skin tone atm?
Painting her For William is a very nice thing to do. He does deserve a big pat on the back for hos time.

I used Greenstuff World's colourshift paint. It loses the colourshift effect when it's not painted over black but you can still see some shimmer.

That skin tone was Khardic Flesh + Ryn Flesh, followed by Ryn Flesh, followed by Ryn Flesh + White (P3 Colours)

I like the color variation in wings' feathers in your own Herald. It's a really cool idea.
