Stunning paint job! I really appreciate the eye step-by-step, that helps a lot.

Wow, fantastic work!

What airbrush are you using?

I've wondered about using one myself but not sure where to start.

Oops sorry for the slow reply, have been distracted by a different project (too many kickstarters all arrived at once) I'm using a double action gravity feed airbrush. Not sure on brand it was a $20 one that they bundle with compressors, so nothing too fancy but I like how easy it is to clean and generally it gets the job done well enough. I also have a much more expensive airbrush I bought years ago which is more an artists brush which does very fine spray but it's a bit limited when using paint instead of ink.

It looks like he's suing a inking pen made by micron. Available at Hobby lobby and Micheals for different sizes.

Been forever since I posted here. Recently been making lots of progress on SDE so had to come back to the thread.

The fire slimes, beatle and bosses got sprayed a while back but took me some time to paint around the glow on Roxxor and the fire troll.

the troll only got finished about a week ago since he never inspired me that much but I'm happy the set is finally done :D

Similar to the way I painted Roxxor and the troll I painted black around the sprayed areas being the orange glow and the purple crystals after doing a purple wash over the crystals then picking them out with white mixed into purple to edge and highlight facets of the crystals

 ahh the see of unending unpainted chibis. I had a marathon of mini cleaning and priming. Also slightly modded these two

I airbrushed in all the skin on all the human heroes in one batch with a mix of Tamiya flesh and a bit of Elf Flesh, then lightened with white mixed in. After that I started drawing in eyes and started bouncing from mini to mini doing a bit of one as another section on another was drying.

Big impressive wolf and fiddly rider. Pretty happy with the result, I painted her hair like she has a wolf pelt attached to the back of her mask like in Princess Mononoke. I highly recommend detaching her from the wolf to paint her and the wolf separately.

Kisa required a repaint oh her skin to get the tanned tone.

Great paintjob!
I think pushing your shadows could make them pop a little more, but maybe it's because of the picture.

Can we also have a picture of your SODA vending machine ? I love it ! :p

My phone is flattening a bit of the shading unfortunately. Mind you going fairly low contrast has been a goal on these compared to normal minis since I'm using Nendoroids as a reference where the shading is very subtle. I'll take some photos of the vending machine for you.

More WIPs and two more done. The Druid and Captain R both of which have been part done for several years. Wooo finished.

Awesome work. I love the paintjobs on your minis. The extra work on wolf and rider looks splendid. I also love the vending machine. It is a nice touch and I may have to make one also.

Looking great! I am seriously envious of your ability with the air brush. I just can not stop mine clogging.

If your airbrush is clogging too easily than your paint mixture is too thick. Try mixing a batch in a bottle, shake the closed bottle and when all the contents are thoroughly mixed, take a clean Popsicle stick and stir it in there. pull the stick out, if you get 2-3 nice drips off the end before holding to the stick, it should run fine through an airbrush.

more than likely in a thick mix, you will get only one drip (maybe another), in a thin mix, you'll get 4+.
