Finished two spawns.

First up are the Fireflow Denizens:

Went with the same fire style I used for Roxor and Rockgut. The spawn point crystal was painted with a paintbrush, using lots of masking tape.

I used the same colors and style for the little dragons that I used for Starfire. To add some variations I used a lighter red and green spots for every other model. The idea is that the little guys with the yellow spots are males, like Starfire, and the ones with the green spots are females.

The spawn point crystal is painted by hand this time. It was a bit less work and I think the results are very similar.

Gorgeous as always Grey, I like the idea for different colour spots for males and females too, very good:)

I love the little eyelids too, the drakes look very menacing in a cute way lol

Really nice paintjob! I like the color choice of the egg clutch and how the small dragons turned out!

Painted up some of the Arcadia Quest minis and put them on my SDE bases. Have to find some kind of use for them in SDE now.

Elysia (alt Vandella perhaps?)
Image

Chooloo (no idea how to use him, but he was too cool not to paint)
Image

Nibbles (angry rabbit instead of angy bear? Should have put him on a large base)
Image

Sonja (alt Barbarian?)
Image

And here is another custom mini the talented Martin Baker sculped for me - Chibi Lara:

These are great Gray, love the big Rabbit! I've got the core game but not started them yet. I need to rebase them like you and Nick have done on SDE bases. Did you pin them to the bases?

@Mark: Yes, they were cut from their original base and pinned to the new ones.

Very nice looking paint jobs here!

Mark,
I used side cutters to cut away the base so that there was a peg sticking out from the bottom of the foot. Then I used a dremmel to make a proper hole in the new bases.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think I read a post somewhere by Nick saying that this is how he did it also. I think he said he drilled out the base.

Assuming we are thinking of the same Nick.

@Bigblock yay first post for you! Welcome to the boards!

Ive not touched my AQ set yet, ive told myself I need to finsh my SPM figs off first lol (inc FK i bet!). When I do I want them to match my SPM bases. I was thinking of slicing most of the AQ base leaving a tab inbetween both feet that could be slid into an SPM base. Might be easier to pin em though.

The paint job on Lara looks great too Grey:) - was she an original master sculpt or a cast? Just checking Martins' page out now, some cool sci fi 28mm's on there.

So awesome Grey, love them! Really great how youve captured the little details on LiLi:) The base is superb as always too. Really adds to the balance on the mini. She was great fun to sculpt, very satisfying.

Love the tones on the Harpy's wings, the cold to warm purple looks ace! Same with the spriggan, the base is so good. Ive got plans to do a flame atronach "wonder" treasure card version when I get round to it :)

Keep up the good work mate!

Interesting take on Kasaro To. But it looks like a scheme that would actually be in art from some sort of eastern mythology.
Well done.

Well, Kasaro To being an Oni (in 2.0, he used to be an Ogre) he would definitely suit some Eastern Themed realms, like the Wondering Monk Mts.

Kasaro's paint scheme was inspired by World of Warcraft's Mogu, from their Asian themed expansion Mists of Pandaria:

Ah so obvious now! Mogu again seems very inspired by real world mythology.

Also, ignore "but" from my previous comment. No buts, it just looks mythological, which by the way is very nice :)

I really like the smooth look to your fire. Especially next to the hard edged highlights on the crystal.

Great work on the RK crossover minis Grey. Bright and vibrant as always!

Love Princess Malyas hair with the purple clothes. She looks spot on.
