G'day! So about a year ago I walked into my local game shop looking for yugioh cards and walked out with the forgotten king, my wife and I instantly became hooked. Afterwards I went online for some rule clarifications and saw some of the painted models (I really had know idea about the world of painting miniatures) and had to at least give it a go! One thing I discovered having never painted anything before is that Im a really slow painter and one year equals only half the set done, but I thought I would put myself out there and show what Ive finished so far!

first two I did, I will probably eventually go back over them

the tatts were pretty tricky work

the billmen are my kids favourite characters, I taught them a simple version of the game so they could vs each other

OK hang on. You've never painted anything before you did these? You are an awful quick learner, because these are amazing.

<Throws 30 years of paints, brushes, wet palettes, magnifier lamp in garbage and finds new hobby>

I paint slow as Christmas, so don't feel bad. I've been playing since 1E first appeared, and started painting something like five years ago. I'm through the base set, Roxxor and Von Drakk. Still have to do Forgotten King, plus ninjas and shadow kobolds, plus Jack and the pumpkin witch and the zombies and a lot more heroes and trolls and... and then Legends is going to show up and I'm going to be even further under water.

So you're in good company.

I have to agree that you must be a quick learner. They look great and usually it takes most people a few years to get to your level of skill. I can't wait to see more.

Wow, really nice. I am beginner as well but I like your pastel-coloured look.
What colours do you take for drawing?

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. My main hobby is drawing, I use holbein brand pencils (mostly trying to emulate the style of Natsuko Taniguchi, probably why I lean towards more pastel colours.) I am truly humbled by everyones comments and it make me want to strive for the next level. I'll keep at it and hopefully have more to show. Thanks again!
