So, after that, my wife and I got enough minis painted to play a two hero game against Rex (we don't really play with unpainted minis for any game). Here are some of the ones I got to paint:

We quickly discovered that Candy and Cola were dead weight in a two hero game, and the Deeproot Druid wasn't holding his own terribly well either. We needed someone to bring them up to speed, so I went with the Barbarian next:

And for whatever reason, I decided Starfire needed to be pink:

Edit- there were a couple photos missing when I posted this:

The rest of the Kobolds were ones that my wife painted up. They turned out nicely as well (we don't usually photograph her stuff).

Impressive! Having all kobolds in different colors is not my cup of tea but each of them is painted spectacularly.

Not sure I'm a fan of pink Kobolds but they're really nicely done. The eyes in particular fill me with envy. Always the hardest part of a model (imo) and you're consistently good at it.

Awesome kobolds, I like that they're all different, gives them as much personality as the heroes. The yellow flinger looks top!

Gorgeous. That devilish rouge! Great colour choices all round!

Just noticed the spawn oint, really like the crystal effect at the bottom

And now for some monsters. Starting with the Caverns of Roxxor. My wife was a big fan of these monsters, and painted up most of the set. Here's my share of the initial set:

The turtles are fantastic. Love the idea of moss on their shells :)

I've seen and commented on a lot of these already, but it's good to see them all in one place here on the forums :)

Nice work Odin

Well, I've ended up getting a lot more fireflow denizens than I ever anticipated I would. My wife painted the first two sets of fire gels (they're so cute, she couldn't help herself) but I got to paint the third set.

Naturally, all of the more normal ideas were taken (you know, painting them as if they were some kind of fire, maybe even different colored fires). So I took an evening, and put on some Doctor who and here's what I ended up with.

Beautiful as always! It's quite an eye catching effect on them. All three of them are very nice but I think my favorite is the bottom set. I really dig the subtle greens in them.

More pictures please =D

Thanks.

I feel like I've ended up adding some of those stars to a lot of my SDE set.

I think I need to find a way to push them farther sometime.
