Your sculpting is very impressive! Your paint jobs are good, but I would consider thinning your paints. The brush strokes really show, especially where you have to put down multiple coats (like flesh tones).

Thanks, I need to do some more sculpting and 3d modelling. I know, I'm one of those terrible people that paint from the pot. The camera definitely makes it more prominent than looking at it with your eye in hand.

I try to get at least one miniature done a day which gives me about 2-3 hours if i'm lucky so they're a bit rushed. Kids will be getting out of school in a few days so my hobby time will probably be gone for the next 3 months

No judgment, brother. If it works for you to paint right from the pot (and it definitely is faster), paint the way you want.

I've been kind of interested in sculpting minis lately, how did you learn to make them so well?

Thanks, there are people that sculpt 1000x better than me though. These are actually my first scratch built minis. Usually I sculpt on and modify pre-existing stuff (toy customising mostly)

I just watch a lot of YouTube videos, read tutorials online and try to make it look like sodapops sculpts.

I use aves apoxie and start with a wire frame then build it up. I usually have to work on one section at a time otherwise I end up mushing all my work with my fingers. Gotta make sure you mix the aves right and maybe don't use old aves because it won't cure correctly (That's what happened to the ninja and it's still soft to this day)

Oh and getting a set of sculpting tools helps a lot also. When I first got into sculpting I was using only and exacto knife. Different shaped tools definitely make a big difference.

Chibi eyes are the feature that catches the eyes. That's why it's important to do it good. Like you did. Good job!

Daaaaannngggg. Those are really nice! Definitely two of my favorite sculpts. It looks like they're going to go out for chips and salsa :)

Thanks, the arena champion really stands out on the table now and she was fun to paint. I'm glad I got her to look halfway decent.
If they were out, it looks like she's pretty miffed and about to beat down whoever vandella is blowing kisses too lol

Woah Hollow Knight? Haha that's so cool. Are you planning on making a card to go with him?

Wow the SDE models you've made on Shapeways are super cool. Have you also made some custom hero cards to go with them?
