All very nice. Particularly like the mozaic floors for sparkle and the sorceress' colour scheme!

Good work here, I like the style you've adopted for them.

One thing I'm probably going to steal is the jewels on the spawning points- that just works so well, and I hadn't thought of it myself.

I am always happy to see people take parts of what I am doing on my miniatures. It's a massive compliment, so thank you.

Believe me I look heaps at others work and "yoink" an idea or two.

The White armoured paladin is a big one for me atm (very reminiscent of Space crusade captains)

I can't wait to get this warmachine gear done that I am working on atm so that I can get back to my SDE!

It's been quite a while since I have had a chance to get back to my SDE miniatures (other projects have been jumping queue). One good thing with the break is that I have rethought how I have been doing eyes.
Anyway Here's my latest. C&C always welcome.

Just read though all the posts (slobbered over the pictures) and wow... just wow.

Is it wrong that I'm considering a life of petty crime, finding out where you live and 'borrowing' your miniatures? :P

Looking very nice mate. I've got him and a bunch of others undercoated ready to hit asap - he's really good and quite a neat model.

And now the Dwarf Sapper. This guy painted in quite a bit faster then I expected. I think I will finish up my kobold spawn points now.

C&C always welcome

Crackin' paintjobs! As others have said, 'the eyes have it!' ;)

I like how you've deviated a little from the norm in some of the painting (the bases, brown bear etc).

Brilliant! The sorceress came out very nice, I love her hair. Druid & Bear look nice too. Still can't decide if i'll go for white or brown fur with mine.

I really like the way the brown fur helps to contrast the chains. I'm definitely leaning toward brown.

Thanks very much for the kind comments. I liked the white bear and thought it very interesting but I could just not go past brown with a tan tummy. I did consider black for a while but thought that it would have been too dark.
Having completed all of my first version heroes now I will be looking to alternate colour versions of most of them after I have done some of the critters and spawning points.
I have to say that I very much enjoy painting the SDE figures.

Yeah, you really nailed that Ruby miniature. Perfect eyes and very bright and popping colors, but the shading work and blending is just perfect too.

The polka dots on sapper's head, do you outline them afterwards or do you do the outlines first and then fill in with white, to get the outlines so thin?

Thanks Solun, I cheat a little and use Micron Pigma Pens for the lining on the polka dots. a 0.05 black.

Reading through this thread gets me all excited about something I can't see! The links to the pics have fizzled. It's a mystery!

Sorry about that. The host server I have been using is having a few issues. I am hoping that it gets sorted soon. If not I will put new ones up.

I have about 5 new painted figures to post too.
