Hello guys! I'm a gamer from Sydney, Australia. I've been painting for a few years, mostly tabletop wargames such as Warhammer and Warmachine. My husband got me into miniature games when we first started dating, and I got him into the painting side of the hobby. It's great having a partner who you can share your fun with, but we've all too often been each other's opponents across the table. About a month ago we got into Super Dungeon Explore and have been enjoying Arcade mode immensely. It's great to play co-op and for the first time we're painting a project together as well. Enough rambling, here is the start of our collection: Thundervale Huntress painted by Aella13. I tried to match her markings to the artwork in the book instead of her card. Side view to show off her markings and hair colours a bit better: Princess Emerald painted by the Hubby. Royal Warden painted by the Hubby. Questing Knight painted by Aella13. Fae Alchemist painted by the Hubby. I think he did a great job on her eyes.

Hey guys, We're slowly working through the baddies from The Forgotten King set. Here's what we've completed so far: Wisps painted by Aella13. Rabid Squirrels painted by Aella13. We're putting way less effort into the baddies compared to the heroes. Chests and Booty painted by Aella13. Old Growth Hollow painted by Aella13. Turnipheads painted by Aella13. Sprout painted by Aella13. Billmen painted by the Hubby. Trent painted by Aella13. Bashful Boris painted by Aella13. Bramble Knights painted by Aella13. Very quick and dirty on this one. King Sprout painted by Aella13.

Hey guys, We've completed a few extra heroes: Nyan-Nyan painted by Aella13. This was my first attempt at a chibi face. I'm not 100% happy, I may fix it up a little at some point. Captain R painted by the Hubby. This is the mini that got us into SDE. The hubby fell in love with the chibi pirate. Survivor Marie-Claude painted by Aella13. I really like how her eyes and stocking turned out. That's everything so far. Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more.

Great job - the both of you. They are very clean and bright which becomes the cartoony little buggers.
The most interesting one is Nyan Nyean... Don't remember seeing anyone go full cat on her. Maybe actually paint on a ▼ cat-nose to complete the look?

@Abbadhon: Thanks! We don't have an air brush. We use washes, dry-brushing, layering and sometimes blending too.
@Goblin-King: Thank you! I've been considering that exact idea. I'll let you know how it goes.

Very nice! I like how you used a lot of soft colours and the spawn point is really great, as are the plants .. basically everything! =)
Makes me want to start painting my collection too .. just have to find some time ...

@Teowulff: Thanks! And please post pictures when you do. Hey guys, I mentioned I wasn't quite happy with Nyan-Nyan. She was my first chibi miniature and I hadn't quite figured out chibi eyes. I wanted to paint my Freyjans to be more cat-like (I intend to make my Tabbybrook Mage a siamese) and I think the nose helps with that. Now she's super cute! Mooks painted by Aella13. Frogs Knights painted by the Hubby. He was inspired by Chocobo Knights from Final Fantasy. Thanks for reading, and special thanks to Goblin-King for pushing me to try the kitty nose. It worked great!

Looks good with the cat nose. It really completes the look.
I really like the brightly colored Frog Knights as well. Give Hubby a pat on the back!

Hey guys, Thanks for the positive feedback. I've started painting up the Glauerdoom Moor bundle. I wanted the skeletons to look very old with rusted armour and rough bone so I mostly drybrushed them. This had the added benefit of making them super fast to paint! Bone Heads by Aella13. Dread Knights by Aella13. Rattlebones by Aella13. Thanks for reading.

Shallow Graves by Aella13. Grobbits by the Hubby. At this point I finally got a proper camera. I've been using my smartphone all this time. I’m still working out the settings, but I think the colours are better. Celestial Herald by Aella13. I painted the Herald with bird-of-prey style wing colouration as I hadn’t seen it done before.

Looking good once again! I dig the rusty look of the skeletons. Can't wait till I get around to do those myself. Herald looks great. I'd sort of wish you had kept to the color scheme and made her hairtips a brown color instead of blue. That would emphasize the bird look even more - you even gave her yellow eyes

That would emphasize the bird look even more - you even gave her yellow eyes I understand the choice for the blue hair to tie in with the skirt. I remember reading an article about painting, back in the day, which talked about "triangulation of colour", so without the blue hair, the skirt would attract too much attention. Perhaps if it was less of a stark contrast from the rest of the hair. But overall love the work! Some beautiful pieces indeed!

Thanks everyone!
Yep, Spazzfist has the idea. I thought the skirt would attract too much attention on its own, so I painted her hair tips blue to tie it all together, and to make her look a little more otherworldly.
