I recently started painting The Forgotten King models. Here's the progress so far:

Pets

Pets close-up. Since The Forgotten King is a forest & dungeon scenario, I'm giving them grass bases.

Huntress

Questing Knight

Fae Alchemist

The various pumpkins and mushrooms are props I designed and 3D printed to make the board look nicer. I'm planning to also do some bushes and trees.

I also created a dice tray suitable for Super Dungeon Explore:

Big version with a shelf for storing rolls:

Small version without the shelf:

You can download the dice tray here and print one yourself.

Really nice! I wish I had a larger 3D printer for the dice tray.
Any plans to share the pumpkin model? They look great.

Yes, once I have a tree and bush I'll release a boardgame accessories pack with all the STL files.

Finished the last of the Forgotten King heroes:

I gave the Royal Warden an all-stone base since he's supposed to be a defender of the highways.

Here's "Queen Sprout"

While I've stuck closely to the colors on the card art for the heroes, I've decided to try some original colors for the enemies.

A bunch of Mooks:

I painted them the same color scheme as Queen Sprout to make them look like her babies.

Also, my kids love playing with the pets, but you don't get to use them very often in the standard rules, so we played a special 'pet rescue' scenario using a Krosmaster Arena board...

Ohhhh tasty! Will add this as my next item in the print queue. Oh and your cello design is a thing of beauty too.

Someone else on Thingiverse printed one with wood-filament, it looks very nice:

Thanks, I'm still learning how to play it!

The wood filament is very nice. I've only had my printer for 2 days so I am yet to try exotic materials. Any recommendations for wood-filament brands in Australia?

I've heard the wood-filament from here is good: http://blueprinted.co/
I haven't used it myself yet, but I have tried their regular PLA and it was very nice. The cello was printed in Blueprinted's white PLA.

By the way that Compendium website is great. I've found it really useful in planning which expansions I'd like to buy next.

Thanks for the web-link and the compliment too. It is gratifying to hear that the Compendium is useful to others :D

What print time did you manage for the dice tray? It is showing as ~11 hours in my slicer so I have to wait until the weekend to begin.

Mine shows 5 hours with these settings:

  • Infill - 15%
  • Layer height 0.2mm
  • Top layers - 4
  • Bottom layers - 3
  • Perimeter shells - 2
  • Speed - default (3,600mm/min)

Sliced with Simplify3D.

Do you store your SDE cards in their own card box? Then 3D print some dividers:

Or buy a solution of card storage on go7gaming, the broken token and others like these. Storage of all SDE collection is a hard challenge, even more if miniatures get paintjob

The storage options provided by go7gaming and Broken Token are very impressive, but both websites do not list any Super Dungeon Explore specific options. I guess it is possible to make them yourself, but that would take quite some time to make something of equal quality.
