Hi, having relative high hopes for this game as i love Versus play. But I actually don't play that much and i'm mostly in the hobby for the creative aspect. these cute ninja and the game board gave me a ton of inspiration so I started working on something this holyday:

this is far from finished and there will be a lot more upon completion (to much to sum up), but I thought to place this sneak preview.
hope you like it.

Update 1:

done way to little in past months I'll maybe work faster and more frequent now that the models have arrived:

These look like very close recreations of the official boards. Good work!

Very cool! How do you plan on having models up on the roofs? Being slanted they would fall off. I would suggest putting little guard rails or something on the edges. I've done similar terrain features and used magnets too! It's more expensive, but it looks cool to have a model just hanging out on a tilted surface without falling.

Really inspirational. Thanks for sharing. Would like to see how you handle the slants on the roofs for game play purposes.

Looks AMAZING so far!

How do you do that? Seriously, I'd love to read your step-by-step on this!

thx

@akai: slanted roofs are kept under specific angles that when the rooftiles are added almost every model should stay on top (some problem makers like ijin oni) after it's finished i will probably make the bases, of models with a center of gravity that is to high, heavier to lower their balance. if even then there are some problems then i'm going to make platforms thaat can be attached to the roof (not going to add railing on roof itself. I won't compromise look in favor of practicality in this case). so far the roofs are actually ok, the real issue is getting decent trees that also allow models to stand on top.

@Salaura: maybe i'll write something up, but don't know when it will be done.

That looks pretty good. It's nice, neat and clean. Keep it up.
