No word yet. Hopefully soon, clearly a lot is happening in the background that is bogging them down. Way of the fighter was meant to go up on KS in september and given it is late october with no info it is a bit worrying.

Some relic knight info would be fantastic though.

In Essen John Cadice said very soon and that RK 2.0 is the next big thing. So probably next month. Which is in line with this information: http://sodapopminiatures.com/news/2016- ... -2016.html

Yeah November was quoted. But we don't know if early or late. We also don't know anything at all about the models/bits included. It would be nice to have some info this week (given they said in the coming weeks, and that was over a month ago)

Actually in the press release it said two cadres, one void and one radiant and they mentioned a new casting process. That already tells us something about the models:

- probably between 12 and 16 models total
- there'll be two questing knights and two cyphers
- there will most likely be 2 minion squads (3 to 5 models each) there they are, your void and radiant minion squads!
- there will most likely be an additional somewhat more powerful minion per faction.
- the minis will be one piece casts using a new casting method, allowing for poses that look more dynamic than the ones achieved with traditional one piece casts.

That's definitely more than nothing. (Not that I'd mind some extra information)

True.
Also the artwork seems to imply relic knights for ayu beat and amaliel, so that might be the case instead of questings?

It would also seem Jeanne Romee will be getting an upgrade if fluff is to looked at.

Looking through 1.5 rules, it seems there should be a new type of leader choice called Avatars.

Captain Harker for the Corsairs is getting a Relic Knight version (don't think that is part of the kickstarter since it is listed as a pre-order at several stores)

So is Code Breaker so I figure each faction is having one QK upgraded to RK.

Capt Harker - SNC
Code Breaker - BD

????
Jeanne Romee - SSP

Others would be complete guesses
Suicide Queen - CSC
Delphyne - Doc
Zineda - Noh

I also expect a few Uniques to go QK

Amelial
Cordialia

Maybe some of the older relic knights will get a questing knight version like Sebastian, Malya, and Kate. Its getting a little confusing as the questing knight cyphers have different rules to their relic knght version of the cyphers.

It would've been nice if they had changed the names slightly to make it obvious if you forget which comes with which because if you dont have the hardcover rulebook there is no official way to look it up.

Even if it was Questing Rook, or Mr Tomn (II) or whatever.

I think they might be fixing this in the new RK upgrades:

Codebreaker v9.0
Harker The Undying

Now if that is their new names then their ciphers can easily reference that name to tell which goes with which.

It would have been nice to allow any of the the ciphers to the right knight to be chosen regardless if they are a QK or RK version. but you really don't need the rule book to tell which cipher goes with which since the art for each is there with the proper Knight they go with. Just look at Calico Kate RK and QK card with her full artwork on it. The different Skully is shown with each Kate.

I agree, the artwork is an easy enough way to tell them apart if you don't store the cards paired.

As for interchangeability, they have different power levels; even if a cypher doesn't see much use, taking the relic version with a questing knight seems a tad unfair. (For example, relic Rook has castle allowing him to swap places with any friendly in LoS, which is arguably better than the ability questing rook has...)

I agree. the cost of a cypher is worked into the point cost of the specific knight it goes with. If you make them interchangeable it's not hard to find out which cyphers are "worth" more and start setting up undercosted knight/cypher pairs regularly.

A cypher is specifically tuned to the knight it comes with (in game terms, not fluff :P) and that can't really be messed with. That said, it doesn't hurt to swap around the minis for the cyphers, so long as you're using the right base size and card for it, if you like the sculpt on a different one more.
