EMBER MAGE

Scaled low res image of an Ember Mage, I will name her... Ellise.
Got Von Drakk a few weeks back and started playing again with the wife, motivated me to paint again. Part 1-3 of my core SDE hero setup.

Hope you all enjoy!

Janara, second hero of my 3 hero setup. I usually game with my wife so we only use 3 heroes to limit play time. I imagine her using 2 butterfly knives; playing around with them when she isn't stabbing baddies.

Not sure if I wanna do the 3rd hero but I think you can make an educated assumption on who the character is based of all the characters available. Can you guess who?

The color palette on this one is great. It really works well with the character's theme. The ink designs are pretty cool as well. Good job!

I'm more partial to the Ember Mage. It has better tonal qualities with lighting. The proportions of your anatomy are just a little off, however. It's kinda vexing too, as there are some really nice things going on in the pieces, but then those anatomy flaws that make parts look weird. Some examples: boobs don't typically sit that high on the chest...they are way too close to the neck. The hips look too small. I can't tell if they are too short, too narrow, or just to small overall, but it looks like she's got the body of an adult female, but the hips/butt of a kid. The wrist holding the staff is bent unnaturally.

Now, setting those criticisms aside, it's a nice piece. The colors in general are great. The whole face/hood area turned out very nice. She's still got the exaggerated eyes, but they don't look out of place.

@ thetang22: you are right, after I post both the images here I went back to adjust the pieces but didn't re-post the alterations. I did however overlook the mage's pectoral assets. The only comment I got from my friends were, "I didn't knew you could draw girls." Good to have a fresh eyes on a piece.

If... on a lark... we ever did a few characters from Super Dungeon in more lively proportions.. who would you want to see done first?

Ember Mage, Princesses Ruby and Emerald (everything's better with princesses), Nyan-Nyan, and the Tabbybrook Mage. Not necessarily in that order.
